Eight Wonders of the Collaboration World

Eight Wonders of the Collaboration World

When I heard that B2B journalist Paul Conley was writing another white paper for Central Desktop, my inner word nerd turned a few cartwheels. This guy is a great writer – with a fresh and interesting take on cloud collaboration. In this insightful and entertaining piece, Paul goes beyond the practical realities of online collaboration, [...]

SocialBridge Collaboration for Marketing Agencies and Teams

A Rose by Any Other Name…

Having to change your name is a hassle, but Shakespeare was on to something. A name matters less than the substance it is referencing. And, HOW you build your brand over time matters more than the name. As such, we find ourselves moving from Common Ground to SocialBridge for our new social collaboration solution aimed [...]

The State of Social Collaboration

Social collaboration is here to stay.  In less than five years, the dialogue around social collaboration has shifted from skepticism to “expecticism.” In the near future, software vendors won’t differentiate on whether or not they are social – virtually all business software will be inherently social. The Universal Need for Effective Collaboration

Over the last 2 months, I’ve been fortunate to work with many companies
that are evaluating collaboration solutions. The fact that most were
from completely different industries and have totally unique use cases
seemed to confirm that collaboration truly is a universal solution!

Thumbnail image for Collaboration - Universal Need Merriam Webster’s Dictionary defines the word
collaboration as “to work jointly with others or together especially in
an intellectual endeavor.”  Below is a cross – sample of the companies
that I’ve spoken to recently that are looking to do just that.

  1. eLearning Company:  A company that does online and custom
training for the corporate, educational, and government verticals was
looking to consolidate 3 applications into 1 by rolling
    file-management/document versioning, project-management, and Google
Documents under one umbrella with a seamless single sign-on to
    Salesforce.com
  2. Advertising Agency:  A major Chicago-based agency was
looking for a way to differentiate the type of service offered to their
clients by offering client workspaces to upload documents, files,
artwork, and create automated business processes for alerts and task
    management.
  3. Senior Care Franchise:  Aiming to manage Senior Care
franchises in a common environment that allows for file sharing, task
    assignment, and document management.
  4. Nationally Syndicated Radio Show:  Looking for better ways
to collaborate and develop content with journalists that are constantly
on the road for a weekly radio show that has new content every 7 days.
