SocialBridge update: new Activity Streams, faster file sharing, Moodboards + more

Welcome to 2013! We’ve got exciting things in store for the year; to kick it off, we launched an all-new Activity Stream and some other great features. Here’s what’s new in the product today:

More social

Activity is now shown by the user instead of the file, task or discussion. See everyone’s smiling faces as they work.

Commenting in the stream

You can now see all comments directly in the stream without clicking on the item. You can also click “Comment” and add a new comment without ever leaving the stream.

Reduced noise

When people do bulk actions, things can get noisy. We have improved this by rolling up similar actions into single activities in the stream. For example, when I upload 10 files to my workspace there will be one entry that says: “Chris Goodrich added 10 files.”

Moodboards

Moodboards is the first professionally focused online idea board for creative teams. Moodboards allows creative teams to add images to private boards that are only visible to workspace members (all SocialBridge for Agencies and SocialBridge for Marketers customers can now enable Moodboards in their workspaces). The small browser plugin even makes it easy to save any image from the web to your Moodboard!

Audit shareable links

As a company administrator, you can now audit the shareable links that are active across all of your workspaces. This allows you to identify files that should no longer be shared and expire the links.

Aspera fast file upload

SocialBridge is now supercharged with Aspera’s fasp bulk-data transport technology. This enables secure file transfers at significantly increased speeds when compared to FTP. The benefit is even more noticeable with larger files and when working across continents.

A big set of new features is just the way to start 2013. We’ll be back in short order with even more amazing new things to share.

  • Peter

Actually, I really want to see activity grouped by file/task/discussion, and NOT by user. Is there any way to revert back to the previous stream display?

  • Mark

I actually really like the way it looks. Much cleaner and social.
